Renovation of 25,000 square feet in an abandoned 90,000-square-foot hospital that had been vacant for two years. The new psychiatric hospital used new packaged rooftop equipment in addition to existing PTAC units in the patient rooms. Electrical service was reconfigured to a multi-healthcare tenant type service with new psychiatric hospital as the host hospital. Much of the existing plumbing infrastructure was reused; however, modifications to the domestic hot water system were required. Extensive field work was required to determine how to correctly separate the existing infrastructure into a multi-healthcare tenant infrastructure.
