This project included the build-out on the sixth floor of an existing building for a new office and computer lab of approximately 32,056 square feet of which approximately 8,260 square feet is computer lab space. The existing building chilled water systems were used with a new riser directly to the floor. dedicated electrical risers were also utilized from the existing service. The base building VAV systems were used in the office spaces; however, the mechanical and elecrical systems were dedicated to the lab spaces using VAV single zone air-handling units above the ceiling. Much care was taken to maximize ceiling heights. A dedicated control system was also used for the single tenant and tied into the base building systems.

SIGNIFICANT PROJECT FEATURES

• Two new chilled water pumps to two new independent chilled water risers off of the campus chilled water loop to the sixth floor for 22 new ceiling mounted air-handling units totaling approximately 350 Tons of airconditioning
  for the new computer labs.
• Approximately 1600A of new electrical service off of two separate building services to serve the new
  computer and air-conditioning loads.
• New DDC controls to tie into the existing campus controls with electrical metering and trending.
