Partnering with our trusted collaborators at Pay-Off in Florence, Italy, CFI Companies engaged in weekly coordination meetings to assess existing conditions and implement the MEP systems tailored to Moncler’s exacting standards. The project leveraged the landlord’s base building infrastructure, including packaged rooftop units and metered electrical services, which were thoroughly reviewed to ensure compliance with the high heat load demands of the new space and high-power consumption.
A key challenge was seamlessly integrating Moncler’s exclusive Italian lighting solutions, which required meticulous coordination to conceal lighting drivers within niche spaces. Weekly collaboration between the millwork design team and the lighting vendor was instrumental in achieving the brand’s signature refined aesthetic.
Additionally, onsite adjustments during construction were necessary to modify ductwork and discreetly integrate supply and return air slots within the millwork, ensuring an uncompromised luxury experience.
Beyond the metered electrical service, CFI designed a new electrical distribution system to support Moncler’s sophisticated lighting infrastructure, including drivers, controls and panel lighting that enhance the ambiance of high-end retail. Our expertise extended to documenting and supporting the installation of Moncler’s in-house AV and technology systems: covering security cameras, speakers, digital display walls, intrusion detection, wireless access points, IT racks and uninterrupted power supply systems critical for point-of-sale and operational continuity.
Finally, as part of Moncler’s commitment to sustainability, CFI played a key role in documenting and drafting system details in collaboration with Moncler’s LEED consultant, Greenwich, based in Milan, Italy. Our contributions ensured the project adhered to Moncler’s environmental goals while maintaining the brand’s uncompromising commitment to quality and innovation.
